Effexor or venlafaxine is an anti-depressant that belongs to the group of drugs SSNRIs or selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors. It works through restoring the balance of natural substances which are in the brain, thus helping to improve mood problems.

Important Information about Generic Effexor

Effexor should not be taken if you have an allergy with venlafaxine, or if you are currently using an MAOI or a monoamine oxidase inhibitor like isocarboxazid or Marplan, phenelzine or Nardil, rasagiline or Azilect, selegiline or Eldepryl and tranylcypromine or Parnate.
